The 1st Golden Clapper Board Production People Awards 2007
Hi there all people of the production world.
The votes are all finally in and here are the final results for
the 1st Golden Clapper Board Production People Awards 2007
After all the votes were tabulated The GEC Blogorama presents the eventual winners, as well as the 2nd and 3rd placed challengers, of the various categories that were up for contention.
While there were no surprises in most of the categories, there were some odd and surprising nominations as well. But all votes are seen in a fun light and all votes and nominations were in good spirit and fun.
New categories were also suggested, "most sexy", "most horny" and "most weird", these however, will be reserved for the next Clapper Board Awards.
Any appeals or complaints can be furnished to the GEC blog and will be looked into.
The Most Fierce Person in Production
Lem Geok Choo
"...not fierce at all but sure send chills down one's spine"
Alan Yap
Joe Tan
Geok finished quite ahead of the pack in this category garnering about half the overall total number of votes received. Its going to take a monumental mean and fierce performance this coming year from all that wish to have any hope of overcoming her in the next awards.
The Most Quiet Person in Production
Felicia Tan
"...you wont even realise she is around..."
Tina Tham
Boon Teck
The Most Noisy/Talkative Person in Production
Sherann Tang
"a lasting impression for sure!"
Karen Khoo
Vivian Phua
A closely contested category, but the noise levels created by sherann easily proved too much for the likes of Vivian and Karen to contend with.
The Most Mysterious Person in Production
Marjorie Van Stratten
"...that WAS majorie but now i know her better!"
Chris Koh
Tay (the Generator Driver)
Like its namesake, this was also quite a mysterious category as there was no clear definition as to what a mysterious person really was. However, we have a winner in the wonderfully mysterious Marjorie.
The Most Friendly Person in Production
Michelle Tan
"...coz she have a very pretty smiley facey"
Warren Klass
Malek
As all production people are friendly this was a closely contested category, but in the end it was the amiable and charming ways of Michelle that saw her take the most votes in this category.
The Best Dressed Person in Production
Arthur Chua
"... dior homme all the way!!!!!!"
Adrian Tan
The only real contest in this category was between stylemeisters Arthur and Adrian as they left everyone else far behind, with Arthur just pipping Adrian for the top spot.
The Worst Dressed Person in Production
Lorna Chua
"...just simply amazing"
Desmond Tan
Alan Yap
This wide open and very personally subjective category sees many odd nominations, but the three just managed to beat out the rest for this coveted crown.
The Most Weirdly Dressed Person in Production
Alicia Tan
Kaili Koh
Lem Geok Choo & Indra
Again another subjective category, but one person stood way above all else in achieving an unassailable standard for weirdness in dressing, creating a style all of her own.
Production Personalities of the Year 2006 - 2007
Aundrea Bligh
"She seems wack enough..."
Warren Klass
"for coming up with this award!"
Terence Tan
"after so long...he is still running around, up n down, getting things done"
Chris Koh
"...without him, I'm nothing!!!!"
Alan Yap
"....he is truly champs!"
Just some more of the choice quotes sent in by voters, names have been left out to avoid identification and misunderstandings:
On choosing a Production personality - "I think everyone has to share this. To each there own, makes production all the more kick ass."
On the best dressed person in production - "All the casting girls, a toast to vintage wear and flea markets..."
On the Most Noisy/Talkative Person in Production - "...her high pitch vocal is hard not to be heard"
On the Most Fierce Person in Production - "The 1st Producer I've ever worked for. She makes me feel like a woman until today."
On the Most Quiet Person in Production - "She only speaks to me when there's a problem. When things go right she's not there to see it, but she's always there when there's a fuck up to fuck me up."
On the Worst Dressed - "It has been 3 years since I last saw you on set......Have you ditched your "Thank you Michael Jordan" Red T-shirt yet????"
On weird dressing - "...he really can make D&G look like giordano"
On being talkative - "...who else can talk n eat as much at the same time"
On weird dressing - " wears a furry mongolian cap and drink beer under the hot sun...very becoming China damn but wear shorts..winter in the head, summer under the pepek...hahaha"
On being best dressed - "...black n white ensemble n neat hair rules...even wind
machine cannot disturb his groove"
A Golden Clapper Board Awards night is being planned for the near future too, organised by perennial organiser of organised things Michelle aka Sally and Sherann Tang, expect a wild and exciting ceremony.
