Lo and behold, the GEC Blog is Alive!
This reincarnate of the GEC Website has a life all of its own as it appears to grow all by itself. With contributions coming in from GECers, this GEC blog has come to have the variety and the spice that the GEC website could not as the only writer for the website was the GEC HQ*.
OK, now back to happenings in the GEC, well much has happened in the past month since the start of this blog and here are some quick updates with pictures if possible.
Carl and Boo's Birthday Bash was an event to behold, with generous amounts of alcoholic items and much consumption of these items, it was a night of merriment and fun type of activities. Here on the left are the comic printout of the picture taken of the fun night at Acid Bar.
Other GEC happenings in the past month were the outcomes of two GEC competitions.
The GEC Pool Super Winners Championship saw Warren wrestle the crown from the hands of Tino in the final deciding game. In the picture on the right you see a disgruntled tino trying to overturn the match and go for the win.
Also the Annual GEC Chicken Dance Race once again saw mass disqualifications of contestants for infringement of the very strict race rules.
This led to the eventuality of there not being any winners in the end but a strong challenge was put up by aundrea aka midge and tino aka satchler head for the top GEC Chicken Dance Racer title. We see in the picture, the Chicken Dance Race in progress but all contestants were disqualified due to a technicality. A reschedule of the event is expected soon.
Look out for more GEC competitions coming up soon,
the GEC Boggle Showdown expects a close fight amongst the very reknowned GEC boggle exponent, carl aka mrs. robinson who is expecting some tough competition from some tough new GEC Bogglers. "There is never one way to play boggle, as long as you go for it you would have went for it," said a confident alan aka champs elysee when asked about his prospects in the upcoming competition.
Also the 2nd Monopoly GEC Challenge is also in the pipeline, as GECers try and
oust current GEC Monopoly champion warren aka spacecow from the top spot. Said a seemingly ruffled warren recently, "the challenge this time seem more real as some big names have signed up to play in this second Monopoly challenge, it won't be a simple walk in the park this time around". Amongst the big names expected this time are carl aka mrs. robinson, tino aka satchler head and elizabeth aka boo. Returning to the fight are GEC Monopoly stars aundrea aka midge and the number one contender, alan aka champs elysee. Expect a fight to the death in this showdown. Also watch out for the GEC Fashion Jamboree 2006 to be released on the GEC Blog soon. Its High Fashion in the Real World.
And finally a big GEC congratulations to fellow GEC contributor, pal and colleague desmond aka moFo for his stupendous achievement in getting the BND** Award at the recent Creative Circle Awards. An achievement surely worthy of GECer of the month for October and November.
